Chassis:

Built from hot-dipped galvanized steel chassis, the Portax LSR also rides on the World Class Suspension Chassis System (WCF- Plus) – a coil Spring suspension with added shocks, and rubber damper for an ultra smooth ride for the horse. An automatic jockey wheel mounted on an integrated lockable 2″ coupler allows the rider to easily raise or lower the chassis frame for hitching purposes and moving the trailer by hand around the yard.

Body:

Following the general build of the regular Portaxes, the LSR model takes advantage of the addiotnal 63cm to create a full dressing space. Two doors allow access to the horse stall. a full wall creates a stall space best suited for horses less than 16.2. Entrance door to the dressing room is from the curbside of the trailer. Additonal windows in the dressing room are possible, as is an optional door between the dressing room and horse stall.

Internal Space:

The inner stall offers padded walls and a bright white roof colour, two lateral sliding windows on each side of the trailer + roof vent makes keeping the environment cool for the horses. Portable feeding troughs can be mounted on each door,

The Dressing Room houses 2 tubular steel swiveling saddle racks suitable for English and Western saddles. More racks can be installed at factory. A flip-up seat and boot jack make preparing for your ride a breeze. Whip holders, feed trough storage, 2 steel shelves, and many hooks, as well as the standard broom and shovel are also on board.

The Big Portax offers two 36″ wide stalls, and an internal stall height of 7’9. Built from hot-dipped galvanized steel chassis, the Big Portax WCFrides on the World Class Suspension Chassis System (WCF- Plus) – a coil spring suspension with added shocks, coil and rubber damper for an ultra smooth ride for the horse. An automatic jockey wheel mounted on an integrated lockable 2″ coupler allows the rider to easily raise or lower the chassis frame for hitching purposes and moving the trailer by hand around the yard.

Body:

Anodized aluminum web profile panel side walls – 1800 mm high – always a silver finish-topped with a metallic silver roof & front bow. Different roof colours are available (accessory). The rear loading ramp is a full 6′ in length with gas shocks as lifting assists. Two steps on rear ramp allows you to step up and control the canvas lift. Böckmann anodized aluminum flooring provides strength and longevity. The double web profile keeps the horse stall cool. The trailer front is 6.5′ anteroom with a fiberglass front bow which holds the storage area. A full height groom door on each side enters the horse stalls, and a full height door with window on the curb side enters the Tack Room. Two lateral sliding windows on each side of the horse stalls, and roof vent provide lots of light, and air flow control. Single plastic fenders are standard – with coloured fibreglass fenders and sidebraces as possible options. All trailers for North America come with a mounted full spare wheel

Internal Space:

The inner stall offers padded walls and a bright white roof colour. The rubber flooring is glued and sealed to the aluminum floor beneath. The loading ramp is covered with rubber integrated safety treads and side stops – preventing slipping in inclement weather. An additional rubber mat for wear protection is placed under the front feet of the horses. The Multi-Safe stall bar system + anti-panic stall system allows you to adjust height of the stall bars and the length of the stall. In an emergency the chest and rear bars can be released from outside the trailer. The chest bars have additional black foam bar padding. The transparent PVC partition is mounted on tubular galvanized steel, and can be swiveled to either side to accommodate loading. The extra wide stall will accommodate fully tacked horses .Black lateral kick plates complete the inside stall walls.

Complete with 7 snaffle hooks, 2 saddle racks, a light, a window in the groom door, and a portable step for ease of access, the front storage room can also have an additional window added on the left and an access door between storage room and horse stall. Mirrors, storage nets, broom and shovel are also included..
