This unit offers an English saddle chest that you can access from both sides of the trailer. Open the full height groom door, open the saddle chest door facing you and swivel the saddle rack so you can easily remove your saddle. A sporty trailer for Dressage, Hunter-Jumper and 3-Day Event Riders!

Portax E Features:
Tack-up a single horse on the trailer by pushing aside the front panel, because the stall dividers hang from a floor to ceiling central post. Two full height groom doors can be secured open when you are parked at an event. Side wall padding and chest bar padding are standard features. This creates an open and airy place for your horses to hang-out.
Control the air flow using the sliding lateral Windows, Roof Vent and a rear Storm Canvas with integrated Wind Screen. You can create the stall length you need for each individual horse you transport.
Secure the rear stall panel to either side wall with a magnetic holder, when loading the first horse. A 5′ ramp offers a lower incline for ramp entry and a horse can stand with all 4 feet on the same plane – makes for easy entry. Have a horse that shies from a ramp? Switch the ramp to a wing door creating a step-up entry.

Protected against rust and corrosion with the hot-dipped galvanized chassis frame and anodized aluminum extruded wall panels.
Steel is galvanized or stainless. Anodizing prevents corrosion and pitting- no need to acid wash this trailer!
The roof is made of polyester which reduces total trailer weight. Polyester not only reflects the sun’s heat but it can be shaped to the latest in aerodynamic design. It can also be coloured! Choose from the array of Böckmann standard and premium colours when custom ordering.
Other trailer materials are also resistant to water. The aluminum plank flooring has a 20 yr Warranty. The floor planks are fully covered by rubber matting, glued to the floor and sealed to the walls. No mats to pull out and clean under.

German Engineering at its best!
A uniquely designed polyester roof changes the air flow. This shape reduces drag, minimizing fuel consumption and the chance of sway. In Portax models, a built in “hill” for the air to flow over, is pulled into the trailer through the roof vent. The flow exits out the back through the wind screen or fully opened storm canvas, keeping the trailer temperate.
Böckmann is a better balanced trailer due to its axle placement centered under the load. With less than 4% of towed weight leaning on the trailer, a Böckmann horse trailer is the perfect fit behind mid-size SUVs.
Smooth ride for your precious cargo! KNOTT ‘s self-adjusting overrun braking system (mechanical) provides consistent, even braking. KNOTT’s elite 2″ coupler with integrated coupler lock is able to swivel around the ball. This unique feature provides security both in transit and when your trailer is parked.
Böckmann’s WCF Suspension is an automotive suspension- unique to the horse trailer world. As seen under cars and trucks, the suspension arms move independently. The addition of rubber dampers and the WCF shocks keep the road chatter at the road. Your horses arrive rested at their destinations.
Wheels are mounted to hug the road – same as your tow vehicle – reducing the chance of sway! Wheel chocks included with every Böckmann trailer for long term parking.

Safety first for our horses with adjustable stall bars to ensure a comfortable stall fit. Added divider & wall pads, chest bar foam covers and bright white interior create a comfortable space. Smooth surfaces and rounded corners reduces opportunity for injury. Even the curved door handle designs reduce tangles with lead lines. Tinted pop-out windows, an optional roof vent + a built in wind screen increase air flow through the trailer.
Your horses balance themselves more easily and can clear their sinuses during transit because of lower trailer tie positions. Pop-out tinted windows protect horse’s eyes while bringing fresh air into the trailer. A patented external stall release system – MSS Safety System (MSS) keeps everyone safe in an Emergency.
The 5′ ramp provides a lower incline and a larger platform for a horse to stand with all 4 feet on the same plane. Patented rubber treading on the entry ramp to reduce slipping in rain and snow. This feature makes an easier entry and exit for young and old alike. The aluminum floor panels keep road heat from your horses.
Now the Portax E has a wider front window with a lower position in the trailer. This light bow-window reduces the glare from both the sun and oncoming traffic at night.

Safety features like a mounted full Spare Wheel with torque wrench, wheel chocks, and hand brake to aid hitching in every model.
An integrated coupler lock is included in a rotating coupler. This unique coupler allows movement to release the pressures encountered in travel that pop other trailers off the tow ball. Internal Stall and Saddle Cupboard lighting, simple stall bar connections, easy coupling system all make your life easier
